What are the odds?

If you think the crash and the overdue baby were humorous, you’re sick. No really, if you think that was funny, here is the icing on the cake.
We decided to take the afternoon to run some errands across town. Because our “good car” is now our “totalled car” we had to take our 1989 Toyota Tercel around town, but what’s a ride in the crappy car when you’re with the people you love, right?

Well, half way across town, the car began filling with smoke and the carpet started melting! It has had a hard time driving in general for a while now, and it was always hot under the emergency brake, but it had never smoked before! The smell of melting carpet is just what a three year old little girl and an unborn baby need to be breathing, so Molly was kind enough to rescue us. We never got the rest of our errands done, but Molly has lent us her car for a while, until we can procure one our own, so we are not without transportation. Thanks Molly (again)!

For those keeping track that’s two cars to the junk yard in two weeks.
