Sophie read in a book somewhere about making rubbings of things. We tried it out on our mailbox the other day with okay results but weren’t really satisfied. The other night Becky wanted to get a bit of reading done, so I took the girls up to the cemetery near our house to see if we could do better. Here’s Sophie in front of the Hope Abbey.

And here she is making a rubbing. Sophie is actually quite good at it and really seemed to enjoy herself.

Of course Lillie wanted to help too…

The lady-bug hat was made for Lillie’s cousin Julia by Julia’s aunt Angie. Julia outgrew it so Lilllie has been wearing it and it is so cute that she wears it a lot.
