The Cabin

For Memorial Day weekend, we went on a day trip to the Stafford Cabin.

We put Lillian down so that we could change into boots, unload, etc. She found a nice stick to gnaw on while she waited.

Here we are having a picnic inside the cabin…

Picnic on the floor

Sophie and Shad wanted to throw rocks into the creek, apparently a time-honored tradition in the legacy of the Cabin, Lillie just wanted to eat the rocks.

Whereas Shad and Jason probably spent much of their childhood cabin days playing the creek, Lillie, Sophie and Mommy wanted to pick flowers…

I have recently gotten into making miniature bouquets– tiny, tiny ones

Lillie knows that flowers are for smelling, not for tasting. Although, sometimes she forgets that noses, not mouths, are for smelling. She opens her mouth wide and takes a deep breath in when she “smells” flowers.

On the bridge. We took the opportunity to throw more rocks and sticks into the water.

All in all we had a good trip. On the way to the Cabin, with all of the twisty, winding roads, Sophie vommited everywhere. If you would like to see a movie of Sophie moaning about this, let us know, we have one we could show you.
